Description

Description

Nideck is a land of legend with castles inhabited by giants. Its waterfall, the highest in Alsace, falls into a steep and wild volcanic cirque. There is a wonderful story behind it. Legend has it that a family of giants lived in the castle. One day, their little girl picked up a labourer in the plain, thinking he was a toy. Her father told her that the giants needed the little peasant to make their bread. She was ashamed and let him go. View map
