This six-stage historical trail takes you back to a little-known chapter of the opening battles of the First World War.Along the trail , when French troops faced the forces of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Along the trail illustrated information panels provide insights into the everyday lives of French soldiers during the fighting on the Almingoutte Plateau in August 1914 and recount the incredible journey of an imperial flag that became a highly coveted prize for both warring sides.
